![]() | The NZCOM journal is a biannual publication that focuses on midwifery issues. Whilst predominantly read by midwives in New Zealand, the Journal is read internationally and is of interest to all people involved in pregnancy and childbearing.

The Journal is published Biannually; usually April and October
Philosophy of the Journal:
- To promote women’s health issues as they relate to childbearing women and their families
- To promote the view of childbirth as a normal life event for the majority of women, and the midwifery professional’s role in effecting this
- To provoke discussion of midwifery issues
- To support the development and dissemination of New Zealand and international midwifery research

Guidelines for contributors
The NZCOM Journal is published in April and October each year. The Journal welcomes original articles, which have not previously been published in any form. In general, articles should be between 500-4000 words.
