COME WORK AND PLAY IN WANAKA!

Mountain Mamas Midwives are seeking another case-loading midwife to join them.

We are a practice of 5 self employed midwives based in Wanaka and we are seeking an experienced midwife who would like to step into a case-load of 2-3 births per month.

This position is to cover maternity leave so would be for a year minimum, however there is the option to stay on permanantly too.

Midwifery Lecturer

 

CPIT’s Midwifery degree programme prepares students for autonomous practice as Midwives in any setting. Developed collaboratively between CPIT and Otago Polytechnic, the curriculum enables students to undertake the majority of their study in their own area through a blended delivery model of education.

We currently have a 0.5 position for one year to teach on our midwifery programme for the 2012 academic year based in Christchurch at the city campus.

We would love to hear from you if you:

·          Are a midwife with an extensive midwifery clinical background

  • Have recent involvement in the provision of continuity of care
  • Have a commitment to education
  • Have an understanding of the socio-political context of midwifery in New Zealand

A Masters Degree (or one near completion) is required and computer literacy and experience with e-learning would be an advantage. The position will involve responsibility for coordination of student learning and practice experiences including teaching and practice facilitation opportunities.
