Bounty NZ wishes to support NZCOM and is making available some study grants for NZCOM members. Small grants may be made to midwife members of NZCOM who are engaged in research projects at Masters or Doctoral level. The Joan Donley Midwifery Research Collaboration will administer the grants.

Bounty NZ have generously expressed a committment to continue to support midwifery research and the grant will be available again this year.

Information For Applicants

Applications must be made in writing and include following information:

  • Name, 
  • Address, 
  • NZCOM membership number, 
  • Evidence of enrolment in a postgraduate programme, 
  • Description of research project being undertaken, 
  • Budget,
  • Amount requested,
  • Details of any other sources of funding obtained or being sought, 
  • Planned date of completion, 
  • Plan for dissemination of findings.

Applications will be assessed and amounts allocated according to total funds available each year and number and quality of applications. Please note that grants approved are likely to be small. Successful applicants will be expected to acknowledge Bounty in their research report and to send a summary of their research report to NZCOM for inclusion on the Joan Donley Midwifery Research Collaboration webpage of the NZCOM website.
