Hello, my name is Anne McMichael. Originally from Taranaki, my husband and I have lived in Hamilton since 1988. During this time we started our family and now have three school aged daughters.

I graduated from the Waikato Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Midwifery, and a vision to enhance the birthing experiences of women I will be working with.

To my practice I bring knowledge gained from life experiences, a personal and positive attitude toward birthing, evidence based education in the art of midwifery, and the ability to encourage and support others to achieve their potential as individuals.

Working in Hamilton and some outlying areas, I work with 4 - 6 women per month throughout their pregnancy, labour and birth, and up to4 – 6 weeks postnatally. For convienence, antenatal visits may be conducted in the woman’s home or at Maternal Instinct Midwifery rooms situated at 15 Galloway Street, Hamilton.

When selecting a place to birth, women I work with may chose a homebirth, one of the primary birthing units I have access to -River Ridge East and Waterford, or Waikato Hospital.
