Having gained a Bachelor of Nursing degree in Nelson, I did my midwifery training in Perth and then returned to my hometown of Nelson to work with the ‘Know Your Own Midwife’ scheme at Nelson Hospital. I am now a registered independent midwife, committed and passionate about working in partnership with pregnant women and their families in the Nelson region.

I have been a midwife for six years and strongly believe that although pregnancy and birth is a normal and natural event in a woman’s life it can also be a joyous and empowering one. A midwife is the right person to share that journey with you.

I love being a midwife and I feel that it is such an honour to be a part of this amazing time in a woman’s life.

I will provide continuity of care including :

Pregnancy testing
Antenatal care in your home
Labour and birth support
Postnatal follow up in your home
Specialist referral as required

This is a completely free (government funded) service to you.
