Janice Hayes, Motueka

Hi my name is Janice Hayes,

I have been a midwife for 20years, initially training as a registered nurse and midwife in the UK.

I have lived in the Motueka area for most of that time working as a plunket nurse  for 6 years then as a  midwife.I have two sons , one at primary school and one just finishing school.

I find being a midwife a great privilege, especially being involved at such a special time in women and families lives.

I am able to offer continuity of care for pregnancy, birth , and the postnatal period. I work closely with other local midwives to provide a great team for backup if needed.

I am able to let you have a choice in the place to birth, being home , or motueka unit or nelson hospital, so care is adapted to your needs.

I enjoy using water for labour and birth, and can offer homeopathy and accupressure if required.
