I believe strongly that the midwife, woman and family/support team have specific roles in the childbearing experience. Keeping birth normal is a responsibility not only for myself, as the midwife, but also for the woman and her family. A trusting relationship built up over the pregnancy enables everyone to feel valued and safe.

I have been a midwife for 10 years and have been in independent practice for 4 years.

I offer care for women wishing home or hospital births. I have a caseload of 3-4 women per month.

I work within a collective of midwives but specifically with one other midwife. We support each other for births, time off and holidays.

I am married with two teenagers.
