North Canterbury Midwives is an established practice that has long held a reputation for our belief and support of women through the normalcy of pregnancy, labour and birth and early parenting. We believe it is a privilege to be present at the birth of your special little bundle and work antenatally with you to ensure a healthy pregnancy as you journey towards a normal labour and birth and the exciting time of parenting a new baby.

For women who live in rural North Canterbury we have home offices based in Broomfield (Amberley) and Waikari which lessens the travel for women antenatally.

Give health and nutritional guidance
Teach you about your body and baby in pregnancy to prepare for birth
Lend information folders and books
Referrals to specialist care as necessary
Home and hospital birth

We are all registered NZ midwives and belong to the NZ College of Midwives and participate in annual practice standards review.
