Lincoln Independent Midwives is an established midwifery practice consisting of 6 midwives who provide experienced and competent midwifery care to both urban and rural families. Lincoln Independent midwives encompass the full scope of maternity care from conception up to six weeks after birth. Our aim is to facilitate normal and safe childbirth in a woman-centered manner therefore we provide birth care options at home, Christchurch Women’s Hospital, St Georges, Burwood, Rangiora and Lincoln Birthing units.
We provide 24 hour personalised midwifery care in a friendly, supportive way to every woman and her family/whanau. We provide backup services between the team so women and their family/whanau can be assured of Continuity of care.
All Lincoln independent midwives are members of the New Zealand College of Midwives [NZCOM] and regularly have their practice reviewed by the NZCOM Midwifery Standards Review Committee.
