Ashburton Birthcare Midwives work to provide you with one-to-one midwifery care to provide the best possible care for you and your family/whanau. We are the only local midwives committed to following you through your journey to motherhood including if you need to birth at Christchurch Womens’ Hospital. We also support low risk women planning to birth at Ashburton Maternity Centre or at home.

We provide:

· Free Pregnancy testing

· Individualised free maternity care

· Initial booking visit and antenatal visits in your home if necessary

· A seamless co-ordination of care throughout including specialists when necessary

· 24 hour availability for emergencies

· Referrals to other health professionals

· 7-12 home visits after the birth of your baby up to 6 weeks of age.
