Introduction statement:  Being a midwife has always held a keen point of interest for me.  I started my nursing career in 1977 in Christchurch and became a registered midwife in 1983.

I have worked in the Cardio Thoracic and Vascular departments at Green lane Hospital and worked at both St. Helens and Waitakere Hospital’s and as a staff midwife.

I joined the team at Maternity Matters in May 2001 as a support midwife, covering antenatal clinics, and postnatal visits when midwives are on annual leave, sick leave or sleeping after a delivery. I provide back up care for Heather Donald and I also provide Lead Maternity Care for a small case load.

I currently live in West Auckland with my two daughters and have a keen interest in horse riding, and competition swimming.

I feel it is an honor to be a part of such an exciting time of a woman’s life as childbirth and to be able to work alongside women to bring about a safe and happy delivery to the best of my ability.
