Birth is a normal part of life.
LMC midwife since 1992, working in areas of Manukau and East Auckland. Comfortable and supportive of local maternity units eg Botany Downs or Homebirth. Transfer to Middlemore for any complication of pregnancy/birth/postnatal for mum or baby. Middlemore (MMH) has the lowest Caesarian rate in NZ.
Work with like-minded collegues for back-up and holiday cover.
Prefer to visit at your home for ante-natal checks and offer individual tours of local unit or MMH as needed.
Encourage breastfeeding for benefit of mum and baby.
Past member of La Leche Legue.Current member of Parents Centre , MAMA , Maternity Consumer Council, Homebirth Aoteoroa, NZCOM committee member --Auckland.
