Jo Mendoza, Remuera

I am a midwife whose practice is grounded in the assumption that pregnancy and childbirth are part of the natural life cycle of each woman.  I view pregnancy and childbirth as a physiological process that I can support and nuture so that it may remain as normal as possible.  My practice is woman-centred and respectful of family dynamics.  I am able to provide care that is flexible, dynamic, supportive and empowering, and I strive to facilitate an experience that is healthy, safe and satisfying.

My experience has been mainly in a hospital setting, although during this time I spent several years in an LMC continuity of care role. I am also a mother to four energetic but delightful children.

I now provide LMC care for women who live in Ellerslie, Remuera, St Johns, Meadowbank, Glendowie and the Bays. I am able to support you to have your baby at home, Birthcare Parnell, or Auckland City Hospital.

If you have a private Obstetrician as your LMC I am also happy to provide Postnatal only care.
