I hold a Bachelor of Health Science (Midwifery) and after working in National Women’s on Delivery Unit and the high risk Antenatal and postnatal wards I began working as an independent midwife in 2009.

I live and practice in Sandringham and take women from all the surrounding suburbs including Mt Roskill, Mt Eden, Epsom, Hillsborough, Mt Albert, Kingsland, Western Springs, Balmoral and as far afield as Titirangi, Te Atatu Peninsula, New Lynn, Avondale, Ponsonby, Herne Bay, Auckland Central, Mangere East, Mangere Bridge and others. I take a small caseload so that I am able to give women the care that every woman deserves during this exciting time and have experienced and trusted backup if needed. I birth at National Women’s and Auckland Birthcare and am happy to discuss home birth with you.

I love my job and believe it is a pleasure and a privilege to be able to walk alongside women and their families as they welcome a new addition to their lives and make the journey to becoming confident and competent parents.

Although I am passionate about normal pregnancy and childbirth and believe most woman can achieve this given the right support and encouragement, I also know that every woman is different and every pregnancy and birth is different, and believe that it is my job to help women to have as fulfilling an experience as possible no matter where her individual journey takes her.
