The Practicalities of Being a Mentor Workshops for 2008

A number of these very popular workshops have been scheduled for October, November and December 2008. Places are limited so please register early. For more information click here.

The workshop explores:

  • the concepts of mentoring in the New Zealand context of midwifery practice
  • adult learning principles
  • creating opportunities for reflective practice
  • the practicalities of being a mentor toolkit.

This workshop is a pre-requisite for midwives who have agreed to mentor a newly registered midwife participating in the Midwifery First Year of Practice (MFYP) Programme, and must have been completed prior to the mentor midwife commencing the MFYP Programme.
