This interactive workshop will enable midwives to consider the importance of culture on birth. The day will provide midwives with the opportunity to explore the effect of ethnicity, environment, society, gender and human rights within the midwifery partnership. The workshop provides the space to consider how personal world views have the potential to influence midwifery practice for a culturally diverse population.

This workshop is provided free of charge for College members

To enable professional discussion places are limited, book early to avoid disappointment.

The New Zealand College of Midwives is approved as a provider of continuing midwifery education by the Midwifery Council.

The College has allocated this workshop 8 hours of continuing midwifery education.
