The Practicalities of being a Mentor Midwife

This one day interactive workshop explores the concepts of mentoring in the New Zealand context of midwifery practice. The Midwifery Mentoring Toolkit and strategies for midwives to consider when undertaking the professional role as midwifery mentor is explored. A key aspect of the workshop focuses on exploration of reflective midwifery practice.

This workshop is open for all midwives to attend. It is also a mandatory workshop that any midwives considering being a Midwifery First Year of Practice (MFYP) mentor need to attend.

Workshop costs:

The workshop is sponsored by the Health Workforce New Zealand through the Midwifery First Year of Practice Programme and therefore is free.
