The primary aim of this course is to equip midwives in Aotearoa with up-to-date knowledge on effectively communicating relevant and tailored information about pākewakewa | syphilis and other mate paipai | sexually transmitted infections (STIs). This knowledge will support efforts to reduce STI-related morbidity, decrease rates of miscarriage and stillbirth caused by STIs, and contribute to the elimination of congenital syphilis in neonates.

This course will take approximately four hours and is eligible for continuing midwifery education hours
