The New Zealand College of Midwives has entered an exciting new chapter following the approval of our new governance framework at the 2026 Annual General Meeting.

The new governance model establishes a smaller skills-based Board that will provide strategic leadership, steward the long-term interests of the College, and support the achievement of our objectives and strategic priorities. Guided by Te Tiriti o Waitangi and informed by a skills and attributes framework, the Board will bring together a diverse range of experience, perspectives, and expertise to help shape the future of the College and the midwifery profession.

We are now seeking applications for the Board.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the future direction of the College and help ensure it remains a strong, sustainable, and influential voice for midwifery and the women, babies and whānau we serve.
