The College of Midwives has written to the Associate Minister of Health and Minister for Maternity, Hon. Dr Ayesha Verrall, to further escalate our concerns over the current Children’s Worker Safety Check process for self-employed midwives claiming from the Section 88 Notice. This letter follows several months of advocacy by the College on behalf of members, by letters, meetings and discussions about individual cases with the Ministry of Health.
