A practising midwife who claims from Section 94 or is paid an untaxed fee
A practising midwife who is employed under a MECA, or other collective or individual agreement and not claiming from Section 94 and is paid a taxed fee
Employed midwife who is simultaneously undertaking self-employed work whose gross income from self-employed midwifery work is between $15,001 and $25,000 per annum
New graduate midwives in their first year of practice receive a 25% discount
A 25% discount may apply to Employed, Self-employed and Associate with Indemnity members, whose gross income from all sources during the last financial year was less than $30,000. This reduced fee is not automatically renewed, you must re-apply every financial year, by supplying Proof of earnings (e.g. a tax summary or a letter from your accountant).
A midwife who is on maternity leave, is not currently employed, or has retired and is not practising midwifery
An individual member who resides overseas. Professional Indemnity Insurance cover is NOT provided
Currently studying towards a Bachelor of Midwifery or Master of Clinical Practice (Midwifery) in New Zealand
An individual who is not a registered midwife but is a member of an allied health profession (e.g. a childbirth educator or a neonatal nurse). Associate members have the option to include Professional Indemnity Insurance
A consumer group or organisation that wishes to receive the College Journal and Midwife Aotearoa magazine
