College Emergency and Disaster Relief Fund (EDRF)

The College is still accepting donations for the Midwives Emergency and Disaster Relief Fund (EDRF) which will be used to provide financial relief for members who have suffered significant loss of property or assets as a result of the recent weather events. Donations will be accepted up to 31 March.  Thank you to members who have already made donations to the fund. The bank account details for donations are as follows:

As the College is a registered charity, any donations made by people resident in New Zealand are eligible for a Tax Credit of up to one-third (33.33%) of the amount paid at the end of the tax year (31 March).  In order to claim this rebate, if the donation is made by an individual, an IR526 Tax Credit Form (as per attached) must be completed, which can be administered online via the taxpayer’s individual myIR account.  Alternatively, if the donation is made by a company, it can be claimed it as a tax deduction within their annual accounts.

If you wish to receive a tax receipt, please enter your name in the transaction reference details, and reply to this email with the following information: your name, amount donated and the email address you would like the tax receipt sent to. All donations will be treated strictly confidentially.

The College is now inviting applications from midwives who have suffered loss of property or assets as a result of recent weather events.  Please see the attached application form. Applications are open until 30 April 2023.
