The Auckland Women’s Health Council, Cartwright Collective, and the Federation of Women’s Health Councils Aotearoa – who all strongly advocated for the establishment of the National Cervical Screening Programme Register – have issued a press release (see link below) in response to a recent report commissioned by Health NZ which revealed serious failings in the functionality of a new cervical screening Register, potentially putting thousands of women/wāhine at risk.

The press release sets out concerns and a provides a list of actions to be undertaken to ensure that as many eligible women/wāhine as possible have the opportunity to participate in the National Cervical Screening Programme and that their health and safety is protected.
