This waiver was set to expire on the 23rd December 2020, in line with the expiry of the Epidemic Preparedness. (Covid-19) Notice 2020.
The Covid-19 Notice has been extended until the 22nd March 2021 and this means that the Director General of Health’s temporary signature exempt prescription waiver is also extended.
This temporary waiver recognises prescriptions not signed personally by a prescriber with their usual signature as legal when the conditions and requirements identified during previous extensions are met.
