New Zealand College of Midwives Photo competition:
The College is holding a photography competition seeking pictures that capture the concept of “Partnership in action in maternity care”
- It should include a midwife/midwives and a woman/family and involve the provision of maternity care
- It needs to have permission for use by the College as promotional material by all subjects
- It needs to be a colour, high resolution digital picture
Free entry to all but must have permission from all subjects

First prize
The photo considered to best capture ‘partnership’ concept will be used as the front page cover for a new College publication – Titled Continuity of Midwifery Care in Aotearoa New Zealand: Partnership in action. This booklet will be available for an international midwifery audience and explains the New Zealand system of continuity of care.
The winner will receive a printed copy of this publication and a printed copy of the 4th edition of the textbook: Midwifery: Preparation for Practice 4e by Pairman, Tracy, Dahlen & Dixon 2018.
Subsequent prizes – A printed copy of the Continuity of Midwifery Care in Aotearoa New Zealand: Partnership in action and a College of Midwives scarf.
Other photos judged to be of high quality and conceptually accurate may be used by the College in other publications, on its website and Facebook.
