Position Title:  Clinical Midwifery Consultant (Thursday Island)

Location:  Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service, Thursday Island

Remuneration: Comprising salary between $5,364.30 – $5,824.20 per fortnight employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%)

Temporary Full Time | Immediate Start for 6 months (with possibility of extension)

About the role

As the Clinical Midwifery Consultant, you’ll provide leadership and support to maternity services across the Torres Strait.

This is less about being on the floor constantly, and more about:

  • Leading and supporting midwifery teams
  • Strengthening clinical practice and service delivery
  • Building team capability and confidence
  • Supporting safe, culturally appropriate care across the region

You’ll be someone who can walk into a team, build trust, and bring people along with you.
