Following a Special General Meeting (SGM) held in Auckland on 27 July, where a remit was passed to enable co-presidents (Māori and non-Māori) to be elected, the College is now calling for nominations for both of these roles.

Nominations for either role need to be supported by the respective College region and have the support of a seconding region. Alternatively, nominations for the Māori co-president role may be made by Ngā Maia.

The closing date for nominations is 31 August 2023. If there are any opposing candidates for either position, an election will be held by online ballot. If there are no opposing candidates, the nominee(s) will be elected unopposed. The role will begin on 2 November 2023.
